SI ADVANCE PHOTO
CONTEST - "Oh My ! Lions and Tigers and Bears
... S.I."
The contest is sponsored by the Staten Island
Advance & the Richmond County Savings
Foundation.
It will be similar to the 2005 Dolphin Sightings
Contest that appeared in the Advance.
Object:
To create awareness for the Public Art project
which will be seen all over the Island at 30
locations.
Basic
Premise:
SI Advance and silive.com readers must take
photos containing
three of the 30 "Lions and Tigers and Bears
..SI" works of art that will
appear throughout the Island.

In each photo setting, the three
scenes must clearly depict the
following:
ONE Lion; ONE tiger; and ONE bear
where a subject is holding the
Advance. |

The composition of the photos
must contain a person, family or
friends holding a copy of the Staten
Island Advance (similar to "ON THE
ROAD" feature). |
| 3. |
The contest is planned to run
for 10 weeks - from early May 2008
to early July. |
| 4. |
The photos must be of good
quality. |
| 5. |
Winners will be selected for a
GRAND PRIZE and other runners up
prizes. |
The Grand prize will be similar to the 2005
Dolphin Sighting Contest which was a trip to Walt
Disney World for a family of 4. In addition to
the top overall winners, a plan is being
formulated for a weekly prize winner to be
selected. Winners will appear in the Advance and
the web sites of:
www.silive.com and
www.lionstigersbearssi.com
